SSS (Sanskriti Sanrakshan Sangthan)

SSS (Sanskriti Sanrakshan Sangthan) is an organization dedicated to uplifting the poor, needy, destitute, mentally ill, and those living on the streets. The idea to help these vulnerable individuals originated with the foundation's trustees, who, after witnessing their hardships, recognized the pressing need for food, clothing, and relief from pain and suffering. Motivated by this realization, they decided to establish a state-level institution to support people in need, regardless of age or genderтАФwhether children, youth, men, or women.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an NGO? тЦ╝
An NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) is a non-profit organization that operates independently of government control, typically focusing on social, humanitarian, environmental, or developmental issues. NGOs can be local, national, or international in scope.
Can NGOs be involved in politics? тЦ╝
NGOs are generally non-partisan, meaning they do not align with political parties. However, they can engage in advocacy to influence policies, laws, or regulations that affect their mission. This type of political involvement is usually aimed at promoting specific causes like human rights, environmental protection, or social justice.
What is the difference between an NGO and a charity? тЦ╝
While both NGOs and charities are non-profit organizations, charities typically focus on providing immediate assistance (such as food, shelter, or healthcare) to those in need. NGOs, on the other hand, may work on both short-term and long-term projects and can focus on advocacy, development, and systemic change in addition to direct aid.
Are NGOs required to be transparent? тЦ╝
Yes, most NGOs are required to maintain transparency by disclosing financial statements, annual reports, and the impact of their programs to their donors, beneficiaries, and the public. Transparency helps ensure accountability and builds trust with stakeholders.
